Mardi Gras Casino & Resort held its first Ice Festival competition on January 28, 2012. This event was a big Charleston, WV attraction. There were nine ice carvers that competed in an ice carving competition and some of them coming from as far away as Ohio and Michigan. The ice carvers competed for cash prizes totaling $2,850.00!

Mardi Gras Casino & Resort wanted to celebrate and bring some fun to the casino by letting patrons dress up in camouflage! Camouflage Fridays was a big hit at the casino, in September and October when people dressed in camo from head to toe and we rewarded them by giving $10 Casino Cash or $10 Match Play for anyone who participated! And that’s not all. Mardi Gras Casino & Resort’s Facebook page held a Camo Photo Contest and it was a rave success too!

We're celebrating the first anniversary of our luxury hotel by holding a Facebook photo contest! Now through August 27th at 10:00 p.m. you can submit a photo you took while visiting the hotel. It can be comical: you pretending to play the hotel piano or maybe enjoying your morning coffee in one of the super comfy robes you’ll find in the rooms. It could be a picture of your girls’ night out at the hotel bar or a picture of your favorite feature of the hotel. Whichever you decide to post, just make sure you enter the contest! First place will receive a one-night stay in the Executive Suite. Second place wins a $50 gift certificate to the French Quarter restaurant. Third place wins $25 Casino Cash to play on the slots. To enter, simply “like” Mardi Gras Casino & Resort West Virginia on Facebook and upload your favorite picture from your visit to the hotel. Detailed instructions on how to enter and the contest rules are found on the left side of the page.
