As a leading West Virginia casino, Mardi Gras Casino & Resort hosted Chips for Charity Poker Tournament on Tuesday, January 18, 2011. Chips for Charity brought ten local celebrities to play Texas Hold 'Em Poker for a chance to win $5,000 for the charity of their choice. Each of the nine runners-up received $500 for their charity. All the participants chose charities that focus on helping people on a local level.

Rhondell Miller was at the event representing Manna Meal. "We're not a government funded agency so every dollar that comes in, goes right back into feeding the people. $500 buys a lot of milk and juice for the morning breakfast." Each of the charities chosen by the players were excited to participate and look forward to putting the money to good use in Charleston and the surrounding area.
