Play classic Texas Hold 'em at Mardi Gras Casino & Resort. Whether you swing by for a quick game or one of our famous tournaments, this intoxicating game will keep you on your toes and winning big. The object of Texas Hold 'em is straightforward—create the best 5–card poker hand using any combination of 7 cards. Betting starts before the game even kicks off. The player sitting next to the dealer button places a small "blind" bet and the player sitting directly to the left of that player places a large blind bet.
Texas Hold 'em rules are simple and easy to follow. Every player receives 7 cards—2 down and 5 community cards. Betting begins with the person to the left of the Big Blind. The 3rd, 4th and 5th cards are dealt face up, which is called the Flop. Betting follows the Flop, followed by the Turn when the 6th card is revealed. More betting before the 7th card is turned up called the River. Final bets are placed and a winner is announced.
